In the era of smart construction, having tools that optimize analysis time and increase decision-making accuracy is essential. In the pursuit of excellence and better solutions for construction, VISI by Construct IN - a reference software for reality capture for construction management - has launched INsight Explorer, a feature of Artificial Intelligence that transforms how progress on the site is monitored.
What is INsight Explorer?
INsight Explorer is a feature available within VISI's 360° viewer that utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect visual changes on the site between two different capture dates. With it, you can quickly visualize where there has been progress, changes, or even inconsistencies in the environment, automatically comparing 360º images from different moments of the site, as well as facilitating navigation during remote inspections.

How does intelligent comparison work?
INsight Explorer operates through an Artificial Intelligence developed by Construct IN, capable of identifying visual changes between two consecutive captures.
To do this, the AI recognizes different elements present in the images, such as masonry, drywall, painting, flooring, and other characteristic components of the site. The comparison occurs only between consecutive captures, meaning between one set of images and the immediately preceding one.
The tool assesses whether there has been a significant variation in these elements and using the variations of the classes as parameters, calculates an overall average percentage of changes identified in the images. From this, it highlights the points where this alteration has been identified, allowing the user to quickly visualize locations with possible advancements, changes, or inconsistencies in the recorded environments.
What is a capture?
A capture is the set of images sent to the 360º Viewer at a certain moment. If you send images from only some points of the plan, INsight Explorer will compare only those points with the previous capture.
If you have points captured on more than one plan, INsight Explorer will display all compared points in each plan available for the selected date. Points that were not captured on one of the dates will be marked in gray.

How to identify the points on the plan?
The Explorer uses a color system to indicate the status of each point on the plan. Each color has a meaning to facilitate navigation:
Gray: Point with no capture on one of the selected dates (not clickable)
Blue: Point with capture on both dates, but no change detected (clickable)
Orange: Point with capture and detected change between dates (clickable)
Example of a plan with the three identified colors:

How to use INsight Explorer in practice?
Activate Explorer mode:
In the 360º Viewer, activate the INsight Explorer switch to enter comparison mode.

2. Select the dates:
After activation, you will be able to select a pair of dates for comparison. The images are displayed side by side (split-screen mode), or you can view a single date. When the screen is not split, the displayed date will always be the most recent (the one on the right).

3. Explore the changes:
With the chosen dates, navigate the plan to identify the points highlighted in orange (change detected) and blue (no change). Remember that gray points indicate absence of capture on one of the dates.
How to compare plans?
In Explorer mode, it is possible to use the plan selector to understand where the most changes occurred. This selector shows the total number of analyzed points and how many have shown alteration.
Example:
If the 7th floor has 24 points in total and 9 of them show changes, this indicates greater activity on that floor, facilitating its prioritization.

What happens when changing the comparison date?
When selecting another pair of dates, the Explorer will automatically update all the points on the plan to reflect the changes detected during that new period. This allows understanding the evolution of the construction over time.
Practical example:
Comparing May 20 to 29, the 5th floor had 7 points with changes. Comparing May 13 to 20, there were only 3 points with alterations on the same floor.

Benefits of INsight Explorer
✅ Save time: navigate directly to points with changes
✅ Prioritize visits based on the actual progress of the site
✅ Reduce rework with clearer visual information
✅ Automate date comparisons without manual effort
Experience the future of construction with 360º images and AI
The INsight Explorer is another step of the VISI platform to bring efficiency, technology, and precision to construction management. With the power of 360º reality capture and Artificial Intelligence applied to the daily routine of construction, it is possible to make decisions with more agility and safety.
