One of the main difficulties encountered during the management of a construction project is communication and access to information.
With the records, the Visi by Construct IN software aims to solve these problems by allowing clear communication between the construction site and those responsible for the project.
The new version of this feature, released on July 20, 2022, promises to offer an even better experience for users.
Check here the recording of the official launch webinar of the New Records in Visi by Construct IN!

What are records?
Records are notes that can be made in the Visi by Construct IN system regarding the progress of the construction.
With them, you facilitate the creation of quick reports, being able to include photos and audio comments. You can use them to create construction checklists, verify execution errors, oversee safety items, and much more.
Our platform keeps a record of all the situations pointed out, facilitating the management of the construction and the creation of reports.

What has changed?
To optimize the experience for users and, mainly, for construction site professionals, improvements have been made to facilitate use, speed up the creation of a record, and allow integration with other communication channels that are already part of the routine.
In addition to a new interface, it is easier and quicker to communicate what is needed using other resources such as photos, audio, and PDF.
Next, check the main functions that have been updated.
Creating records
The update allows users to create a record without being inside the 360° Viewer, directly from the home screen of the application, which speeds up the experience for those in the field.

Whenever anyone observes any situation at the construction site, the person walking around can already create the record.
“It became simpler, the person saw the problem, takes a photo, points out in which environment it is, and that’s it. What we did was elevate the level a bit, and from now on, the functionality allows creating a record referenced to a point and not to a specific date of a 360° photo”, explains Emilio Bier from the Construct IN Product area.
For the team at Êxito Construtora, records are part of the routine, as they enable creating construction checklists, verifying execution errors, and reminders for future work.
According to the company’s engineer, Kêmely Macedo, with the new version, it has become much easier to create records while walking through the construction. “Now we keep all this information centralized in the Construct IN platform, and we have a complete record of the progress of the construction”, she states.
Audio, PDF, and cell phone photos
Another major new feature is that it is now possible to attach some types of documents when creating or responding to a record, such as: audio, 2D photos, and PDF files.
In Emilio’s view, this option was designed to meet the need to facilitate the creation of records.
“When the field staff is walking through the construction site, for example, they will be able to send audio as a description or as a comment on the record, without needing to stop to write”, he adds.

According to the team at Nine Engenharia, the ability to make audio descriptions was one of the updates that caught their attention.
“We also tested making audio descriptions, which speeds up the work of those on site”, highlights Julia Schmitz, the company’s co-owner.
The same applies to the other new features of the update, such as attaching images and documents, which also contribute to more objective and assertive communication.
Sharing on WhatsApp
It is now even easier to share Construct IN information with your contacts and WhatsApp groups.
Records have gained a native button for sharing information directly in the messaging app.
When sharing, the following data will be sent: the title, the location where the record was created, a brief description, and the link for the person to view the complete message in Construct IN.

Better visualization
Some changes have also been made to the presentation of the records to simplify and improve visualization.
The new version is closer to the visual of a task manager, bringing information in a more organized way.
First, a list is displayed, and upon clicking on a record, it is shown in detail, as shown in the image above.
This way, it has become even easier to access and find the information necessary for agile and efficient construction management.
For architect Luísa Praun, from Mattos Arquitetura, this update improved the management and visualization of records. “Now they all appear in the same list, separated by status, and this made it more practical and interactive to manage and generate weekly reports”, she complements.
See in the following image how the interface looks in Construct IN Web.

In general, the new operations have come to contribute to the process of documentation and remote management of 360° construction that the platform offers.
